Cobble Hill Townhouse
The owners of this landmarked Brooklyn townhome had waited to upgrade parts of the home until after their children had grown. The commission involved renovating the existing unused bath, three children’s bedrooms, and the home office. As part of the overall upgrades, we took on the restoration of original plaster mouldings, original stairs, and repairs to the 1800’s floorboards, remaining in one area of the house. The bathroom was converted into a spa-like kids’ bath with inspirations drawn from the dark blue waters of the Mediterranean coast with its warm sandy beaches, and at times, cool gray evening skies. The eldest daughter’s bedroom was upgraded from an unused room to a whimsical teenage girl’s bedroom with edges of sophistication she can grow into.
